de maximis Data Management Solutions (ddms) is currently seeking to hire an experienced Web Designer/ Developer for full-time employment at our St. Paul, Minnesota office. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a portfolio of visually compelling, contemporary and intuitive examples of web design and development. The successful candidate will work as part of a team supporting internal and client/ project specific web site design and development initiatives.

Candidate must posses strong graphic arts and UI development experience and talent. Candidate will contribute to a range of web sites from public information sites to sophisticated "software as a service" (SaaS) hosted products.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in related field (e.g., graphic arts, computer science) or equivalent professional training
  
  
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in web design in a professional environment
  
  
• Demonstratable web design and development experience and associated portfolio of aesthetically impressive web sites
  
  
• Fluency with modern graphic arts software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, FireWorks, FreeHand, Flash etc)
  
  
• Demonstratable experience with dynamic web content design and development (e.g., Flash, Silverlight etc) and javascript api (e.g.,Dojo, jQuery etc)
  
  
• Exposure to .Net programming framework
  
  
• Exposure and understanding in Javascript, AJAX, XML and CSS implementation

Desired but not Required:

• Experience with production of animations and 3D illustrations (e.g., 3D Studio Max)
  
  
• SOA Concepts and Implementations
  
  
• Demonstratable experience with web/ database integration and implementations utilizing MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and/or PostgreSQL

The successful candidate will be a strong self motivator with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This person will be working both independently and as part of a broader development team which will consist of other programmers and systems administrators, geologists, scientists and environmental data management professionals.
